～画廊作家による新作小品展

来週から銀座・コバヤシ画廊で開催されるグループ展に、小品1点を展示いたします。出品作品は、2011年の震災の年に着手した作品。台車の上に載せられた、上半身の無い石像。このモチーフにふさわしい背景を3年間模索したが、現れませんでした。やがて、この他のすべてが蛇足に思えて、一切の装飾を加えず仕上げました。タイトルは『帰還者』、といいます。

I join to the group show MESSAGE 2014 in Gallery Kobayashi, Ginza from next week , with a small new work. The work I started in 2011, the year of quake.　A statue without upper body on trolley. I'd been searching background which was appropriate for this motif　in these three years, but I found that nothing would appear on the background. Finally I finished this work without all decoration, as I thought other everyting would be an unnecessary addition. The work is titled "The Returnee".
