Biblioscape-II

Ateliers Höherweg e.V. is studios of eleven artists in Düsseldorf. They are running international guest artist program. Mariko and Yurihito were invited and stayed from Oct. to Nov. in 2003.   
アトリエ・ヘーアーヴェグ e.V. は100年以上前の古い建物で、現在は11人のアーティストによってアトリエとして使用されている。彼らは1996年からインターナショナル・ゲストアーティスト・プログラムを運営しており、毎年、３〜５名の作家が招聘されて、制作と展覧会を行っている。

"Biblioscape II" was shown in the guest studio in Höherweg after "Biblioscape" in reinraum e.V.. Iit was the second trial of collaboration between image and sound. However, the second volume of "mutus liber - mute libertine" was not work-in-progress. It was finished in advance, although pictures on wide spreaded papers could be put in a box like vol.1. Images would be move back and forth between book and painting.
On the other hand, small book objects was made with Yurihito's sound at the first time.(see below "Collaboration work")

"biblioscape II"は、reinraum e.V.でのbiblioscapeをさらに展開したものである。"mutus liber - mute libertine"の２冊目は、ワークインプログレスではなく、アトリエで仕上げられた。大きな紙面上で繰り広げられるヴィジョンが、携帯可能な本の形 に収できるようになっており、描かれたイメージは書物と絵画の間を行き来する。

On opening night, "Tokyo Picture Show" was screened by Marcus Karstiess. at the entrance hall.
Vernissage ではエントランスにて、マーカス・カルスティエスよる"Tokyo Picture Show" が行われた。

"biblioscape II"は、reinraum e.V.でのbiblioscapeをさらに展開したものである。"mutus liber - mute libertine"の２冊目は、ワークインプログレスではなく、アトリエで仕上げられた。大きな紙面上で繰り広げられるヴィジョンが、携帯可能な本の形に収できるようになっており、描かれたイメージは書物と絵画の間を行き来する。

mutes liber - inaudible

We try to make "mutus liber"- picture as book without words- including sound, as our collaboration.
このコラボレーションでは、文字（言葉）を持たない「本」である絵画オブジェ"mutus liber"に、音楽を内包させることを試みた。

mutes liber - inaudible : Three pieces of collaboration. Original sound pieces were composed for three "mutus liber", and each CD-R is put inside each object.
Sound track of "mutes liber - inaudible" was programmed in laptop computer, and each track could be listened freely during the exhibition.(detailed of mutes liber - inaudible)
mutes liber - inaudible コラボレーション３部作。３点の"mutus liber"（沈黙の書）のためにオリジナルのサウンドピースが作られ、それらを収録したオーディオCD-Rが、それぞれのオブジェの床面内部に収められている。
mutes liber - inaudible のサウンド・トラックはlaptopにプログラミングし、各トラックを任意（ソロ、ミックスなどで）に聴けるようになっている。(mutes liber - inaudible の詳細)

mutes liber - inaudible sound performance

On the performance, Yurihito played "mutes liber - inaudible, desert | ...and | memory" with connecting network of two laptops.     
サウンド・パフォーマンスでは、2台のlaptopをネットワークで結び、mutes liber - inaudible, desert | ...and | memory が演奏された。
